Library Service Policy

Borrowing Privileges

Library cards are free to residents of the Borough of Wyomissing and to non-residents who provide proof of Pennsylvania residency. Adults and children 14 and over are entitled to personal library cards. Registration is good for 1 year. No library cards are issued in the name of businesses or institutions. Replacement cards cost $2.00.

Fines and Fees

There is a $1.00 fine each day a DVD is overdue. For all other materials, the fine is 25¢ for each day the item(s) are overdue. Fines will not be collected for the days we are closed, including Sundays and holidays. Fines accrue up to the cost of the item. Patrons are charged the replacement cost of the item for lost or damaged materials. Borrowing privileges will be suspended if fines for materials not returned or other charges exceed $10.00. All fine and fees must be paid in full by the end of a calendar year before borrowing and computer privileges can be used in a new calendar year. Fees for damaged materials will be assessed at the discretion of the Library Director.

The Wyomissing Public Library is not responsible for any damage, which may occur to a patron’s personal equipment during use of videos (both VHS & DVD), audiocassettes, or compact discs borrowed from the Library. Any damage to the Library’s material is the responsibility of the borrower.

Photocopies are 20¢ per page for black & white and 50¢ per page for color. Computer printouts are 10¢ per page for black & white and 50¢ per page for color.
