Community Conversation on Homelessness in Berks County
Saturday, October. 3, 2026 | 1:00 p.m.
On Saturday, October 3rd at 1 PM the library will host a “Community Conversation on Homelessness in Berks County”.
Rev. Dr. Steve Ohnsman will lead the conversation. Steve has served as a pastor, campus minister, college chaplain, and professor since 1984. He has been the pastor of Calvary United Church of Christ since 1999. Others in the conversation include Jack Williams, Executive Director of the Berks Coalition to End Homelessness, Holly Wolf, marketing director for Opportunity House, and two Reading School District social workers, Jessica Schoonmaker and Lorrie Reddy. The conversation will center around the causes of homelessness, how serious a problem it is in Berks County, what is being done to help those who find themselves unhoused.
