Borrowing Privileges

Library cards are
free to residents of the Borough of Wyomissing
and to non-residents who provide proof of
Pennsylvania residency. Adults and
children 14 and over are entitled to personal
library cards. Registration is good for
three years. No library cards are issued
in the name of businesses or institutions.
Replacement cards cost $2.00. |
Fines and Fees

There is a $.25 fine for
each day materials are overdue, not including
Sundays and holidays. Fines accrue up to the
cost of the item. Patrons are charged the
replacement cost of the item for lost or damaged
materials. Borrowing privileges will be
suspended if fines for materials not returned or
other charges exceed $10.00. All fines and
fees must be paid in full by the end of a
calendar year before borrowing and computer
privileges can be used in a new calendar year.
Fees for damaged materials will be assessed at
the discretion of the Library Director. |

The Wyomissing Public
Library is not responsible for any damage, which
may occur to a patron's personal equipment
during the use of videos (both VHS and DVD),
audiocassettes, or compact discs borrowed from
the Library. Any damage to the Library's
material is the responsibility of the borrower. |

Photocopies are $.20 per
page. Computer printouts are $.10 per
page. Copies and printouts must be paid at
the time of printing. |
Loans

The following are 7 day, no
renewal:
-- New Fiction
-- Periodicals
-- Videos
-- Compact discs
-- Occasional collection of high demand material

• |
All other items circulate
for 2 weeks and may be renewed twice if not on
reserve, either in person or by telephone. |
Limits -- Per Person

-- Five recent periodicals (not current issue)
-- No limit on older periodicals |
Limits -- Per Family
|
-- 7 videos [and/or DVDs]
-- 5 books in the same Dewey Decimal number at
Librarian's discretion
-- Holiday books and other collections may be limited
depending upon quantity available |

entitled by law to confidentiality in their
borrowing. |
