"The mission of Wyomissing Public Library is to provide a wide variety of popular and informational material for reading, listening, and viewing. The library places an emphasis on those services which encourage children and parents to read together, as well as providing educational, cultural and general programs for the community at large. Electronic as well as print reference information is available."
Our library is always bustling with programs for infants through adulthood. Children's programs require many supplies.
A wonderful way to say "thank you" for library services to our community, is to donate items from our Amazon Wish List. Click the link below for details. Thank you
We are always reusing and recycling. It's good for our library, the economy and the environment!
We're collecting empty 2 liter bottles and baby wipe containers. A collection box is located at the main library entrance.
Our staff have a few suggestions to keep your literary love alive!
If you enjoy mysteries by Robert B. Parker, you'll
love Shane Scully mysteries by author Stephen J. Cannell.
If you enjoy children's author Mo Willems (Elephant & Piggie books), you'll love author Melanie Watt of the Scardy Squirrel books!
If you like author Jan Karon of the Mitford Series, you'll love Patrick Taylor, author of the series Irish Country.

Library Renovations, on the Horizon!
Our beautiful library will undergo some much needed renovations, appropriately during our Centennial year. Significant changes are in store for the children's areas.
Upgrades will include new carpeting, refurbished blinds, fresh paint, upgraded wireless, and three new computers for children that feature over 60 engaging educational activities.
Many thanks to the Borough of Wyomissing who has generously allocated funds for our renovation. We are quite fortunate to have their continued support. The library collaborates with the Borough on projects throughout the year. This collaboration and our strong relationship benefit the entire Wyomissing community.
We hope you'll be patient with us during the months of February through May, the height of the renovation. Though it'll be a temporary inconvenience, these changes are necessary for an improved library environment and experience for our patrons. Stay tuned for the exciting reveal!

Word on the Boulevard
"I frequent your library on a weekly basis to secure literature supporting my Pre-K teaching efforts at the KinderCare learning Center in Wyomissing. Ms. Tina often searches for specific books, VHS tapes, and/or CDs that coincide with my current educational theme at school. She is outstanding and truly exhibits a caring, thoughtful attitude, in addition to being very professional."
~ Shelley Sherman, Wyomissing, PA
