Summer Quest 2023!
Lots of great fun and educational programs are happening at the Wyomissing Public Library this summer! The library is the perfect destination to enrich your child’s summer with quality programs and events.
Join us from June 19 through August 12 for our 2023 Summer Quest Program (formerly Summer Reading Program), an 8 week program designed to promote the joy of reading and learning after school lets out, and summer vacation begins.
What is the Summer Quest Program?
- The 2023 Summer Quest Program encourages kids & teens to read and learn throughout the summer for FUN. The library offers dozens of programs each month to foster a love of reading, and engage kids in learning. This year’s theme is “All Together Now.”
How does the Reading Ticket Work?
- Register for the program at the library.
- Use a reading ticket to keep track of the number of minutes that you read each week by coloring a hand for each 15 minutes. If a grown-up reads to you, that counts, too (hint: Ms. Daniella is a grown-up, so come for storytimes)!
- When you color all 4 hands on your reading ticket, turn it in at the circulation desk to receive 1 raffle ticket.
- Raffle tickets may be placed in the prize jar of your choice, located near the circulation desk.
- (1 hand = 15 minutes; 4 hands = 1 completed ticket = 60 minutes of reading)!
What do I get when I turn in my first ticket?
- A free book! When you turn in your first ticket at the circulation desk, you can pick a free book for you to keep.
What can I win?
- Your completed reading tickets allow you to enter the raffles to win cool prizes, like Fox Berkshire Movie tickets, a Barnes & Noble gift card, or The Works at Wyomissing gift card.
- In addition, each week we’ll raffle off a cool backpack with a special little “something” inside!
When will you announce the winners?
- We will accept tickets through Saturday, August 12, the final day of Summer Quest, when we hold our annual Block Party event!
- Winners will be drawn the week of August 14th. We’ll call you to let you know if you have won!
