Mother Goose on the Loose  is an award-winning early literacy program for infants and young children.  It integrates rhymes, music, movement, ritual, repetition, positive reinforcement, nursery rhymes, instruments and books.  The program is designed to aid in developing literacy skills as well as strengthen bonds between care-giver and child.

Sessions generally are held once a week.  It is most beneficial when children experience the program on a weekly basis.  Infants and children up to age five are welcome to attend.  No registration is necessary.

Mother Goose on the Loose is back, with a twist: components of our previous 30-45 minute sessions will return in a shortened version lasting about 15-20 minutes.  Mini MGOL will still include songs, rhymes, activities, and books for our youngest patrons to enjoy.  These mini sessions have now become integrated in the Library's regular weekly activities for children.
